They're easy to open and close, although I found their plastic textured coatings to be a bit hard on the fingers. The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range. It has Wi-Fi as well as app support, and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices allows you to control your fridge from anywhere in world, and has a ton of customization options. It will also send you notifications when the door is unlocked as well as when the fridge or freezer must be defrosted and when the filter requires a change. It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS came with Precise Fill it's an option in other GE fridges that allow you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to dispense at once. It does offer an indicator on the fridge's display to display how much water have left, but it's not as effective as Precise Fill. Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is an impressive product. It's designed to look like it's a seamless component of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a veggie compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer periods, and two compressors for preserving food. The ice maker is one of the best we've ever tested, and it produces a pyramid-shaped form of Ice with low water consumption. This refrigerator is ideal for a single family or a kitchenette with an elegant design and top of the best food preservation. The fridge was rated the best refrigerator in our Refrigerators test, for several reasons. Its freezer temperatures held firm at just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit and never fluctuating more than a fraction of one degree. This is crucial to preventing freezing burn. The refrigerator section of the refrigerator also performed well. It reached the temperature it was set within an hour, and maintained that temperature throughout our testing. Bosch is known for its premium appliances and appliances, so it's not a surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance with the option to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and Bosch's Home Connect platform. The freezer also comes with clever design features, like sliding drawers that help you sort your things. It also comes with a large bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food items and an additional storage bin for ice. Another great feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can control the temperature, lighting and more of your fridge from your smartphone. It's a nice method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, especially when you're away from home. The Smart InstaView feature is neat but it doesn't improve the performance of the fridge. In fact it took longer to defrost and chill foods in this fridge than other refrigerators we tried. french door fridge and freezer could be due to the bigger capacity. They have handles that are sunken at the front, which allows shorter people to easily open them from the bottom, but they're not easy for taller people to pull shut without slamming them. Its capacity is higher than average for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a great layout. It's also a little cheaper than the best counter-depth refrigerator that has an ice maker, which can make it a popular choice. Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator If you're looking for a French door refrigerator that won't break the bank, this Frigidaire is a good choice. It's a minimalist design that isn't as visually striking like some of the competitors, but it has enough features that make it a great pick. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer helps to keep food items such as vegetables and meat fresher longer. It also comes with a large water and ice maker dispenser. Temperatures at the top and bottom of the fridge didn't vary significantly from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a solid performance, but it does not quite make it to the top of our rankings. This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat in order to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge. The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's outside is made of grey-bodied stainless steel that has a “smudge-proof” finish. It does a great job of repelling fingerprints and streaks, even compared to glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
